Kate Bird, Executive Director

Kate Bird is an award-winning executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Kate has been Ecuhome’s Executive Director since 2018 and is a board member of the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association.

Edward Carrington, Director of Tenant Services

Edward begun his career in The Health Care and Social Services field as an Oncology Nurse. He later went to work in the community as a Case Manager which led him to take on a position with a non-profit organization as the Manager of Supportive Housing to people with Mental Health and Addiction and that are also with HIV/AIDS. This last stint led him to become the Director of Mental Health and Addictions Program ( in the housing context ) in a large faith-based agency. Its was at this position that Edward became aware of Ecuhome as some of the clients that his program supported are tenants of Ecuhome. Ten years later, an opportunity at Ecuhome has opened. Edward with alacrity, tendered his interest and is now our new Director, Tenant Services.

AJ Keenan, Director of Property Services

AJ started with the maintenance department at Ecuhome in 2008. Since that time, they have served in various capacities. They oversee the maintenance department of 10 employees and administer the capital and operating budget for the properties. In addition, they have successfully managed a variety of capital grants.
